Admission Guide

Key points – admission guidelines for UK for UG and PG courses

● A completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board or institution with a minimum of 70-80% marks or more.

● Proof of English language proficiency, such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo.The minimum scores vary (at least 6.0 in IELTS, 80 in TOEFL iBT, 50 in PTE, or 95 in Duolingo).

● Apply to the university of your choice through the UCAS portal, which is a common application system for all UK universities. You can apply for up to five courses at once. The application fee is GBP 26 for multiple courses or GBP 20 for a single course.

● Submit your academic transcripts, entrance test scores (such as SAT, ACT, or AP),English language test scores, and a personal statement as required by the university and program. The personal statement (PS) is a short essay of up to 4,000 characters or 47 lines that should cover the strong reason for your motivation and suitability for the chosen course.

● If accepted, reply to the offer within the specified deadline. Three types of offers:conditional, unconditional, and unsuccessful.

● Apply for a student visa from the UK government, which allows you to study and work in the UK for the duration of your program. Show your proof of acceptance from a registered education provider (UKVI), proof of financial support, proof of identity, health insurance (NHS), and tuberculosis test results. The student visa fee is GBP 348.

● A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university or institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent. Some programs may require a higher GPA or a specific degree in a relevant field.

● Proof of English language proficiency, such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE,or Duolingo. The minimum scores vary (at least 6.5 in IELTS, 88 in TOEFL iBT, 59 in PTE, or 105 in Duolingo).

● Apply to the university of your choice through their official website or a common application portal, such as UKPASS or UCAS Postgraduate. You can apply for multiple courses at different universities.

● Submit your academic transcripts, entrance test scores(such as GRE or GMAT),English language test scores, statement of purpose or research proposal, letters of recommendation, resume or CV, and any other supporting documents as required by the university and program.

● If accepted, confirm the offer and pay a tuition deposit within the specified deadline.

● Apply for a student visa from the UK government, which allows you to study and work in the UK
for the duration of your program. Show your proof of acceptance from a registered education provider (UKVI), proof of financial support, proof of identity, health insurance (NHS), and tuberculosis test results. The student visa fee is GBP 3483.

Visa Guidelines

Steps for Application for UK Student Route

1. Before applying for the study route, the student must;
● CAS i.e. Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies from the respective University
● Evidence of funds – to pay the course fee for at least one academic session of 9 months and support living for at least 9 months
● Qualify English language proficiency test i.e Secure English Language test (SELT), as per the eligibility criteria
● Pay the health surcharge to access the UK’s National Health Service
2. Secure supporting documents for application
● Valid Passport
● CAS
● ATAS certificates, if required
● Proof of legal guardian and relationship if the student is under 18 years

3. Apply Online for student route visa
4. Register with UKCAS and upload all the required documents
5. Pay the visa application fee and attend the appointment, if needed
