Admission Guide

Key points – admission guidelines for Ireland

● Select intake for application: September or January. September is the main intake in Ireland, with the most number of programs and scholarships available. January is a smaller intake, with fewer options and opportunities. (Start your application process at least 8 to 12 months before your desired intake).
● Research and shortlist the preferred universities and programs. You can speak to our overseas education consultants to learn about admission requirements, deadlines, fees, rankings, and scholarships of different universities and programs in Ireland.
● Appear for English language tests required such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo.
● Apply to your shortlisted universities through their official websites or a common application portal, such as PAC or CAO. Fill out the online application form and upload your academic transcripts, language test scores, and any other supporting documents. Pay an application fee of EUR 30 to EUR 50 depending on the university and program.
● If accepted, confirm the offer and pay a tuition deposit within the specified deadline.
● Apply for a student visa from the Irish government – show your proof of acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI), proof of financial support, proof of identity, health insurance (VHI), and medical examination results. The student visa fee is EUR 60.

Visa Guidelines

Steps for Application of Ireland Study Visa –

1. Identify the study visa type required. There are two type of study visa in Ireland:
C Type: General student Visa
D Type: Short-term student Visa i.e. for maximum 6 months
2. Ireland study Visa requirements
● Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the respective University.
● Evidence of funds for course fees and monthly living expenses
● English language Proficiency Test scores
● Pay the health surcharge to access Ireland’s National Health Service.
3. Apply online at Irish Naturalization Immigration Service (INIS) website, at least three months prior to the course commencement
Ireland Study Visa Application Fee –
● General Student Visa: £ 348*
● Short-term Student Visa: £ 97*

4. After submitting the online application, you will be sent a Summary Form that must be attested and submitted with the required supporting documentation:
● Letter of Acceptance from the Irish College or University
● Evidence of fee submission to the College
● Proof of enough funds to support living in Ireland

5. Obtain the mandatory private medical cover
6. Submit biometrics information
Note: The Ireland study visa processing time is variable depending on certain factor, it usually take 4-8 weeks.
